
Without the phones, and the televisions, and the computer, and the internet, we find ourselves trying to fill a void. What we consider 'void' is what our ancestors knew as silence. Just sitting back in a chair and watching the day on a hot summer afternoon, sipping a glass of lemonaide.


They would hang their clothes on a line in the back yard and the wind would carry it as high as the drying lines would allow. The sun would peak through to flash a ray of light. Now we have

I took a family vacation this Memorial day, and while I wondered what I would do with myself, without the internet (we did have that) and the television (we did have that) and the phone (sorry the service was not available), I found myself, sitting outside with the family and talking. I found myself taking walks with the grandkids and exploring. I found myself playing
Chutes and Ladders and Go Fish.

What if we didn't have all this stimulation? It would be quite possible that time wouldn't pass us by so quickly. I know my days seemed to go on forever without the television, internet, and phones...and I am still alive. -RoseAnn

It was so much fun hanging out with the family!! I can't wait until Labor Day so we can do it all again! :)
